Bread !

As much as I like Pizza... and Eggs... and Cake... I think BREAD is more important food group  and I think it has been around for thousands of years, in all cultures...

There are soooo many varieties tho... 9-grain, whole wheat, potato... so many to chose from.

My favorite has to be French Bread with garlic spread!!!! MMMMMMM goes great with spaghetti !!! 8o

What is YOUR favorite bread??? :P

where I live there are a lot of portuguese people...and about 5 portuguese bakeries in the city...The best one though has the greatest portuguese rolls and they bake them fresh all day long.. I stop in after work sometimes and pick up a few...they are still warm from the oven, you can feel the heat through the paper bag they put them in...yum yum

Yes, I have to agree. Bread is wonderful stuff, versatile and comforting.

My favorite is Tiger bread. The smell of fresh bread is awesome, but fresh Tiger bread is better!

Far be it from me to try and talk you out of your paranoia.
You choose not to trust me. Well, that's sad, and unfortunate. But unlike the rest of you, I have no intention of letting it get in the way of my work.
Trust, You should try it some time.

The Jeely Piece Song
---------------------

I'm a syscraper wean
I live on the nineteenth flaer
An' I'm no goin' oot tae play ony maer.
Fur since we've moved tae oor new hoose
I'm wastin' away
Cos I'm gettin' one less meal every day.
Chorus:
Oh, ye canna fling pieces oot a twenty story flat
seven thoosand hungry weans'll testify tae that
be it butter, cheese or jeely
if the bread be plain or pan
the odds against it reachin earth are ninety nine tae wan.
On the first day, my ma threw oot a slice o' Hovis broon
It skited oot the windae an' went up instead o' doon
now evert twenty seven oors it comes back intae sight
for my piece went intae orbit and became a satelite.
Chorus
On the next day my maw theought that she' wud try again
This time the piece collided with a fast low flying plane
The pilot scraped it from his goggles and shouted through the intercom
The Clydeside Reds have got me wi' a breed an' Jeely bomb.
Chorus
On the third day my ma thought she would have another go
The Salvation Army band was playin' doon below
'Onward Christian Soldiers' was the tune they should have played
But the oom-pah man was playin on a piece an' marmalade
Chorus

bread is thought to have been invented by the ancient Egyptians.. Apparantly they kneaded dough with their feet and the yeast between their toes is what made it rise.

I really hope that isn't true because it is 'blooming' disgusting :P

when i have time and no urgent obligations,i like to go to my parents' villages,1 is in north Achaea, the other in north (googles english name) Euboea.

in many villages i've been to in general, older ppl like to bake their own bread, and my parents' villages are not an exception.

they have an outdoor oven, that burns wood,so they bake their bread there(the oven is used for other foods as well). The taste of this bread cannot be compared with any of the city bakeries, and the smell...drives you crazy!I love home made bread!

ps:can we have more balanced tixxing please
Instead of proposing a penalty, Socrates instead proposes a reward for himself: as benefactor to Athens, he should be given free meals in the Prytaneum, one of the important buildings which housed members of the Council.

And that's why tixxers should pay my premium.
