Account Transfers: NOT SUPPORTED!!!

These tranactions are solely between players themselves, and the Holy War Team does not have any involvement in them whatever. Assistance from the support team regarding such matters is not offered!

I want to take over someone else's account / give mine away to a friend.

It is very important that the change-over is clean and uncomplicated. Please request the registered e-mail address of the account and change this address and the password immediately upon taking over an account (when giving away an account do not forget to give the email address to the new owner!). The User who is giving their account away has to provide the new owner with the registered e-mail address! Without this address, a clean and safe change-over is not possible as the new owner will not be able to change the email address and hence the password.

What happens when the change-over goes wrong?

The HW Team will take no responsibility if anything in the transfer goes wrong. Please remember change-overs are not endorsed by the HW Support Team, merely tolerated. We are not permitted to give the new owner the registered email address of the account.

If the new user does not have the registered email address, and hence cannot change it and the password, then the original owner can return and take the account back at any time. This is not considered account hijacking. The registered email address acts as proof of account ownership.

Is the original owner allowed to take his account back when his address is still registered?

Yes! The player whose email address is registered owns the account and can come back at any time. That is of course not pleasant; however, it cannot be changed.

Will the Support Team give the registered e-mail address to the new owner?

No! We do not support these account transfers. Emails can only be changed if we have confirmation from the orginal owner in the form of an email received from the regestired email address itself. This can only be done with an email from the registered email address.

Conclusion

When you are changing over accounts, you should insist on the registered email address. You should change this address while you are still in contact with the player (ICQ, MSN, etc) just in case there was a typo error when they gave you the address and you cannot change it yourself.

Alternatively, you could give the former owner your address and he could change the address for you. However, you would have to change the address again once the transfer had been completed so that the former owner did not know your registered address.

Transfering accounts is not safe, especially when you do not know the player you are dealing with personally. So, insist on the registered email address in all instances, and take screen shots of all PMs, Ebay pages, MSN posts, etc., to protect your new account. This may help, should you ever decide to report an instance of fraud to a higher authority.

If something goes wrong in this change over, you will have to go back directly to the original owner. The Holy War Team cannot help you if you do not have the correct registered email.

Account sales

Dear Players,

Since many of you do not seem to be aware of this, posting in your profile that you want to sell your account is permitted. However, indirectly advertising the sale of your account in the SB is not allowed. If you do this, you will be asked by the mods not to.

Cheers,
DragonEater
