Randomize tournament matchups

There is no reason why a higher stat level 40 player should reach the finals over a player 30 levels higher and stats some 60+ higher because current matchups place the top 2 levels against each other and so on.

Matchups should be random, where a top level char for the league can fight any of the 32 or whatever # players is in.

Low level chars should not get 'free passes' to finals.

BE CAREFUL... you may get what you ask for.

There are a number of ways to look at this problem. We could take your view that only level and stats matter. Each bet would then be on the highest level with the highest stats. And the return on bets will be a minimum amount. Or a system where the random factor rules the script could return greatly on bets but not make sense for all results. Perhaps the leagues have too many levels in them. A spread of 30 levels in a league does not seem too fair either.

Perhaps the best solution is to return fun back into the game. With a lot more players, the tournament will look a lot better. The spread would diminish and the random factor will leave just enough uncertainty.

Would be nice to have the low tixx/no tixx world (like V1) where gameplay determined the best players, not the size of ones bank account. Tourneys then wouldnt have such disparity, unless someone put ridiculous amounts of cash into a player, usually fizzled by the 40s-50s
